Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect personal data when you contact us or browse this website.
This policy explains how Mission Dynamics Ltd ("we", "us") handles personal data collected through missiondynamics.co.uk. We are the data controller for this data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Mission Dynamics Ltd, 20 The Crescent, Yeovil, BA20 1XW, United Kingdom.
Email: sales@missiondynamics.co.uk

What data we collect
Data you give us
When you submit the enquiry form on our contact page we collect: first name, last name, email address, telephone number, company or vessel name (optional), the product you are interested in, and your message (optional). We use this solely to respond to your enquiry.
Data collected automatically
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. This collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referring source. See our Cookie Policy for detail.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to a sales or technical enquiry | Legitimate interests, and steps preparatory to a contract |
| Providing quotations and product information | Legitimate interests / performance of a contract |
| Measuring website usage via analytics | Consent |
| Keeping records for accounting and legal obligations | Legal obligation |
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf:
- Netlify — website hosting and enquiry form processing
- Google Analytics — website usage measurement
- Barnacle Systems Inc — where a technical enquiry requires manufacturer support, and only with the information needed to answer it
- Professional advisers, and regulators or law enforcement where we are legally required to disclose
International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States and Canada. Where that happens, transfers are covered by an adequacy decision or by International Data Transfer Agreements or equivalent safeguards.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless it becomes part of a customer relationship, in which case we keep it for the duration of that relationship plus 6 years to meet accounting and warranty obligations. Analytics data is retained for 14 months.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, have inaccurate data corrected, request erasure, restrict or object to processing, request portability, and withdraw consent for analytics at any time. To exercise any of these, email sales@missiondynamics.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and enquiry submissions are transmitted encrypted. Access to enquiry data is limited to staff who need it to respond to you.
Data about vessels and recorded footage
This policy covers the website only. Where a BRNKL or Wave Guardian system records video, telemetry or crew impact data aboard your vessel, you are the data controller for that data — it is stored on the device or in your own account and we have no routine access to it. Operators recording crew or passengers should carry out their own data protection assessment. We are happy to advise on system configuration.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
